The Villaviciosa de Odón Student House, strategically located in Madrid, represents an exemplary fusion of functionality, modernity, and student-centric comfort. Spanning an 11,600 m² plot with a total buildable area of 5,900 m², this project maximizes every square meter to create a dynamic and vibrant environment tailored specifically to student life—balancing focused academic spaces with ample opportunities for social interaction.
Utilizing Nidus Lab’s advanced generative AI platform, we transformed the architectural design process into an efficient, optimized journey. Our unique algorithm rapidly tested thousands of layout possibilities, instantly identifying the optimal configuration to meet critical criteria, such as maximizing room numbers, meeting specific unit mix demands, and complying with regulatory standards.
The intuitive Nidus interface allowed us to seamlessly upload basic CAD project data (including plot outlines, building footprints, and structural axes) and easily adjust design specifications and local regulations. Our generative AI produced a ranked selection of viable design solutions within seconds, offering immediate clarity on the most effective layout. The final design featured an elegant oval-shaped multi-story building, efficiently accommodating a total of 412 rooms.
